An Easy Way to Save on Your Home Insurance

The program is called Covered. It’s an online marketplace that offers you a one-stop insurance solution. So how do you use Covered? When you log into your HomeLoanServ account, click on the “Insurance” tab listed in the right column of your loan summary. There, you can see your current policy and provider, your coverage amount and your annual premium. At the bottom of the page, you’ll see a link called “See My Rates” that will take you directly to the marketplace.

It’s not just homeowners’ insurance, either. Covered enables you to shop for other types of insurance policies like auto, life, pet and even umbrella coverage. The company says that people who use the marketplace can save more than 30 percent on insurance, with an average savings of $750.
